Unable to uncheck check boxes in Microsoft Access 2003

Problem:

Users of a Microsoft Access 2003 database could check checkboxes using the mouse but only uncheck them by clicking with the mouse then pressing the space bar. The same database was in use on many PCs but only some PCs showed the problem.

Solution:

Seems like the problem was caused by a Microsoft Office update. Installing Microsoft Hotfix KB945674 fixed the problem on all PCs.

Microsoft Access 2003 – Continuous form flickers

Problem

We have a continuous form in an Access 2003 with two text boxes which have their a VB function as their data source. When the form is opened the top record looks OK but the two text boxes flicker, flash or shimmer on the other records as if the form is refreshing itself in a loop. The problem only occurs on some PCs.

Solution

Installing Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 3 fixed the problem.
